Celtic Music to Kick Off December

Celtic-Music-to-Kick-Off-December-#235

Greetings my friends

We're just three weeks away from Christmas. It's time to start planning my Celtic Christmas special features. Expect at least one in the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast and a new one in the Celtic Christmas Podcast. But that's not all. I have some secret plans I hope to reveal in a week or two... Knock on wood. For this reason, I'm gonna take next week off from the show and try to do some catch up.

How're things with you? What's' new?

Slainte!
Marc Gunn, The Celtfather

PS. What do you think of the Celtic Christmas Podcast? How can I improve it?

I WANT YOUR FEEDBACK -- Call 678-235-8763 or record an MP3 on your phone and email it to me at music@celticmusicpodcast.com. And please post a review on iTunes or Stitcher.

THIS WEEK IN CELTIC NEWS

1. December is here. That means it’s time to start planning my Celtic Christmas music specials like I do every year. But I have one more show to share before the holiday music begins with great indie Celtic music from Maidens IV, Mithril, 3 Pints Gone, The Washington Square Harp and Shamrock Orchestra, The Poxy Boggards, Bat Kinane, LandLoch’d, Breabach, The Skelligs, A Band of Rogues, Kilmaine Saints, Green Tea, Danny Carthy, Jiggernaut, Bonhomme Setter.

2. My Celtic Christmas Music website is now mobile-ready. Go to CelticChristmasMusic.net to read the articles. And now you can listen to my article “What is Celtic Christmas Music?” in the Celtfather podcast.

3. Celtic Music Spotlight on Wild Colonial Bhoys and Jig to a Milestone.

4. There are two weekends left at the Louisiana Renaissance Festival. Come see me perform with Kilted Kings.

5. In 2014, I released the Celtic Christmas Greetings Podcast. It features songs and stories inspired by my love of Celtic music, Christmas music, and my journey to discover how they go together.Subcribe on iTunes or using the feed.

6. We’re just a few weeks away from Christmas. So it’s time to start listening to Celtic Christmas music. Sure, you can start listening to the nearly 40 episodes of the Celtic Christmas Podcast, but why not also get a few of these Celtic Christmas CDs. Check out the new Celtic Christmas CDs by indie Celtic artists in 2015.

7. Atlanta's Celtic Christmas is starting to sell tickets. Wonder what to expect. Here's a video from a previouis concert with Jamie Laval & John Doyle: "Ceilidh in Killiecrankie".

8. Gorgeous video by Aoife Scott. The song is called "All Along the Wild Atlantic Way" and it's topping the Ireland iTunes charts. Hope to get it on the podcast.

9. Are you on Android? Do you have Marc Gunn Celtic Music app? I plan to updated it in the next month or so. Meantime, do me a favor. Download it. Then email me to tell me, how we can improve it?

Today’s show is brought to you by Celtic Invasion Vacations

Every year, I take a small group of Celtic music fans to exotic locations around the world. We don’t travel in big tour buses and see everything. Instead, we stay in one area. We get to Know the region through its culture, history, and legends. Plus, I bring you some great Celtic music by me and other Celtic artists. We’re going to Cornwall in 2016. Subscribe to the mailing list to join the invasion at celticinvasion.com
