Traditional Music with Celtic Roots

Celtic Music Magazine

Greetings my friends

My family and I had a wonderful vacation in Houston a couple weeks back. Then I raced off to one of my biggest shows of the year--Dragon Con--where I performed with my old duo, Brobdingnagian Bards. This is the one show we do each year, and it was the biggest, most-amazing yet!

DragonCon is a science fiction convention. Yet, it always blows my mind how many awesome Celtic musicians and Celtic music fans also attend conventions like this one. In fact, there were a couple bands who came up to me outside of Emerald Rose and Pandora Celtica. And I had numerous podcast fans stop by and collect one of the podcast bumper stickers.

Is this Celtic Geek thing universal? Probably not, but I love to see it.

In the meantime, there are two new episodes of the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast since last I wrote. Later today, I hope to start work on another for this week's show. Look for lots more great music, especially if we hit the next Patreon Milestone.

On a personal note, I'm heading back to Marietta, Georgia this Saturday to perform at Johnnie MacCracken's Celtic Pub. Then Sunday night, I'm performing another Internet Concert. I'd love for you to join me.

As always, I appreciate your support of the podcast. Thank you for sharing it with your friends.

Slainte!
Marc Gunn, The Celtfather

The Irish & Celtic Music Podcast exists due to the generosity of our Patrons. Your kind donation of $1 per episode pays for the production of the podcast and helps me make a partial living as a professional podcaster. I thank you for your support.

This week, we have 115 people donating over $344 per episode of the show. Special thanks to our newest patrons: Michael, David, Brett, Christy, BarefootGuru, Tom, Herbert, Michael, Jason, Paul, and John Sharkey White.

If we can just get 6 more patrons, we will hit the next Milestone. Then I will start recording the next 2-hour Celtic music special focusing on the fiddle.
