Back from Donegal |
Greetings Donegal and the Giant's Causeway were amazing! Eight Celtic Invaders joined me for a week-long excursion to one of the less visited parts of Ireland. I now see what all the fuss is about. If you've ever been to the Southwest coast of Ireland during the summer, you would've seen swarms of tourists, buses beyond belief, and every little generic green Irish trinket that could be mass-produced and put into the hands of you and me. Donegal is nothing like that. People are just now discovering its beauty. We noticed a complete LACK of tour buses and a fraction of the tourists. Yet, the whole region is no less beautiful and impressive. In fact, the Slieve League cliffs are higher than the Cliffs of Moher. I think I enjoyed those best when we took a boat to see them by sea. All of Donegal was filled with some spectactular sites and relics of old. You can hear some audio blogs in my Celtfather podcast during the trip. I hope to release more episodes soon. Listen to them here: celticinvasion.com. While you're there, sign up to the mailing list. Show #212 is now online, and I hope to record show #213 tomorrow... with any luck. I confess--I'm a little worried. My wife started back to work last week. That leaves me taking care of our 4-year old daughter Kenzie as well as a 5-week old infant. I love being a stay-at-home dad. But at least until Kenzie goes back to daycare in August, my time this summer may be limited. While I was in Ireland, I was forced to release a flashback episode. There may be more of those in the weeks to come. I wish that wasn't the case. But necessity due to a lack of time... So please bare with me. And here I was hoping to do a big promotion for the 10th anniversary of this show which happens at the end of July. Sigh. I guess I'm gonna have to rely entirely on you. If you love this podcast, help the show out. Join the podcast facebook group and lead the charge to promote the podcast this summer. I could release use your help. Humble thanks
