Sometimes when I start the podcast, I introduced myself as "Marc Gunn, Celtic Geek musician." There are two different ways to think of a "Celtic Geek". One is to be a big geek about Celtic culture and music. That's certainly me. But for me it's a bit more. I love science fiction and fantasy.
In fact, while you are reading this newsletter, I will be at Gen Con in Indianapolis. That's the oldest gaming convention in the world. It started 50 years ago. I'll be there singing Nerd Pub Songs inspired by Firefly, Lord of the Rings and cats. That's a Celtic Geek!
I have a table out there, and you can bet that I will have some Irish & Celtic Music Podcast stickers. So come by and say hi!
For this reason, I was glad that the Renaissance Festival Podcast recorded this week's show for me. You'll enjoy a taste of Celtic love songs found at Renaissance Festivals with Celtic music from Abby Green, Craig of Farrington, Darcy Nair, Darren Raleigh, Emily Kellam, Ceann, Jesse Linder, The Jolly Rogues, Kilted Kings, Lindsay Smith, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Shillelagh Law, Tullamore, 3 Pints Gone.

By the way, I don't know what happened to the newsletter last week. I seem to have forgotten to send it. But it was a fun show. You can hear my new single, and you'll enjoy an hour of great indie Celtic music from We Banjo 3, Chrissy Crowley, Vicki Swan & Jonny Dyer, Patrick D'Arcy, Rogue Diplomats, Marc Gunn, Alasdair White, Jesse Fergusonm Tara Hill, An Taisdeal, Dom Duff, McCrae's Battalion, The Celtic Reggae Revolution, Battlelegs, The Elders.

Thanks again to everyone who voted for us in the Podcast Awards. Sadly, we did not make the cut this year. We shall keep trying!
I hope you have an amazing week. And I'll be back hosting the show next week. I think we're gonna have some End of the Summer Celtic Jams. Feel free to send your end of summer suggestions to me.
