Greetings
There's just one more week until the extra-long St Patrick's Day episodes begin. I thought we'd start with a San Patrico warmup since O'Craven has a cool song called "San Patricio." You'll enjoy music Emish, Garry O'Meara, RUNA, The Tea Merchants, The Irish Rovers, Smithfield Fair, Bill Troxler, Pol Mac Adaim, Drunk & Sailor, Rising Gael, Kilrush, O'Craven, Larkin, Screeched Inn, and Brothers 3. You can see the shownotes and listen at celticmusicpodcast.com/297/.
What's your favorite song in this week's show? Vote now.
Many of the Celtic Non-Profits that we support are festivals that are promoting Celtic music and culture. This year, if you arrive soon enough, you can get an Irish & Celtic Music Podcast bumper sticker for free when you attend the Texas Scottish Festival in Arlington, TX.
Mark your calendar for May 5-7, 2017. You'll enjoy music from Ed Miller, Jil Chambless & Scooter Muse, Jed Marum, Jiggernaut, Tullamore, The Killdares, Cleghorn, Seamus Stout, The Selkie Girls, Murder the Stout. Plus, there are some other awesome artists who I don't yet have permission to play on the podcast. I'm working on it.
Finally, I'm heading back to perform Johnnie MacCracken's Celtic Pub for the first time this year. I have several shows booked already. They have a tasty Irish buffet every night, and lots of craft beer. If the weather is cool, you'll see me drinking Guinness all night between songs. If it's not, then I'll partake in the craft beers. My show starts at about 9pm and goes as late as 1 am. I hope to see you there.
Thank you again for supporting Celtic music. Slainte!
