Halfway to St. Patrick's Day

Celtic Music Magazine

Greetings my friends

September 17th marks the halfway point to St. Patrick's Day 2016. So last week, I released my Halfway to St. Patrick's Dayepisode. If you haven't listened yet, go listen on the website or on iTunes.

I want to thank everyone who responded to my question a few weeks back about whether you liked the New Celtic CDs feature. I think it is my favorite feature of this newsletter. So it will continue in each edition, except those that highlight Kickstarters, as usual. You'll also see more New Celtic CDs on the website. I plan to move that to a twice a week feature in the coming weeks.

Oh! And also a big thanks to everyone who is sending feedback about WHERE you are listening to this podcast. That is Extra cool to hear and SEE! The pictures rock. So thank you.

And thanks again for supporting indie Celtic music.

Marc Gunn, The Celtfather

PS. Would you do me a small favor and post a review of the podcast on iTunes. Feel free to mention where you listen and any bands you found that you love through the podcast.

The Irish & Celtic Music Podcast exists due to the generosity of our Patrons. Your kind donation of $1 per episode pays for the production of the podcast and helps me make a partial living as a professional podcaster. I thank you for your support.

This week, we have 115 people donating over $344 per episode of the show. Special thanks to our newest patrons:  Jamie, Margaret, Katie Jo, and Rene!

If we can just get 6 more patrons, we will hit the next Milestone. Then I will start recording the next 2-hour Celtic music special focusing on the fiddle.

Today, we are Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day. To celebrate, I started with a lot of fun, traditional Irish tunes… then I got carried away and just had a blast sharing Celtic music from Eilis Crean, Flook, Hank Cramer, Beyond the Pale, Merry Wives of Windsor, Darcy Nair, Brobdingnagian Bards, Appalachian Celtic Consort, Aisling, Three Mile Stone, The Irish Experience, The Brazen Heads, Captain Black Jack Murphy, The Elders, Runa. celticmusicpodcast.com/224

Leave a voicemail. Call 678-235-8763 or record an MP3 on your phone and email it to me at celticpodcast@gmail.com. And of course you can always post a review on iTunes or Stitcher.

Remember. Cast your vote in the Celtic Top 20. You can vote for shows from January to June.
